Our client, a top 20 financial services institution is seeking an MDM SME to join a growing Data team. This overall effort is focused on integrating acquired company data and ensuring accuracy, scalability and reliability.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $80.00 to $90.00/hr w2
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and support enterprise MDM solutions across Customer, Party, Product, Account, and Reference Data domains.
- Build and optimize MDM solutions that integrate with AWS-based data platforms and Snowflake environments.
- Partner with business, data governance, and technology teams to define master data standards, stewardship models, and governance processes.
- Develop and maintain data models, match and merge logic, survivorship rules, and data quality frameworks.
- Enable integration between MDM platforms and downstream systems including Snowflake, analytics platforms, reporting tools, and core banking systems.
- Support cloud-native data architectures leveraging AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, and Redshift.
- Collaborate with Data Governance and Risk teams to ensure adherence to banking regulations, data privacy, and security standards.
- Perform root-cause analysis of data quality issues and lead remediation efforts.
- Support data initiatives for platform modernization, cloud migration, and M&A data consolidation.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, data lineage, and operational runbooks.
- 7+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Engineering, or Data Architecture roles.
- Hands‑on experience with MDM platforms such as Informatica MDM, Reltio, IBM Info Sphere, SAP MDG, or equivalent.
- Strong experience in AWS cloud environments.
- Proven experience integrating and managing master data within Snowflake.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and reference data.
- Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ETL or ELT concepts.
- Experience in financial services or banking environments.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions with clear communication.
- Experience supporting cloud‑native MDM architectures in AWS (preferred).
- Hands‑on Snowflake data modeling, performance optimization, and security controls (preferred).
- Familiarity with data orchestration and integration tools such as Informatica, dbt, or Glue (preferred).
- Experience with enterprise data migrations or cloud transformations (preferred).
- Prior experience in a contract‑to‑hire or consulting‑to‑FTE role (preferred).
