Position Specific Description

  • Lead operational assessments for operating wind, solar, and storage assets, leveraging advanced data analytics to integrate and analyze SCADA, historian, and market data—building automated data pipelines and visualization dashboards that synthesize complex datasets into clear findings and actions
  • Create and own production profiles for financial analysis and budget setting using statistical modeling and scripting (Python/R/SQL); ensure traceability and assumptions transparency through version-controlled code repositories and data lineage documentation
  • Perform asset performance diagnostics using machine learning algorithms and time-series analysis, collaborating on root cause analysis by mining multi-dimensional datasets to resolve underperformance and chronic issues
  • Develop and refine predictive analytics techniques, statistical models, and algorithmic processes to forecast and mitigate production variances, including bias detection through coded statistical tests and automated correction algorithms
  • Own month-end performance reporting by engineering ETL processes, coordinating timely inputs from partnering business units, and ensuring data quality through automated validation scripts and reconciliation algorithms
  • Oversee end-to-end deliverables and processes for operational assessments, budget support, generation/economic entitlement (GenE), and related fleet reporting by building scalable analytics frameworks and coded workflows
  • Present data-driven insights, risks, and recommendations to operational and risk committees using interactive dashboards and statistical visualizations; influence decisions with clear tradeoff framing backed by quantitative analysis
  • Establish best practices for analytics code development, data documentation, and QA standards; mentor and upskill team members in programming languages (Python, R, SQL), analytics methodologies, version control systems, and domain knowledge
Job Overview

Employees in this role oversee the analysis and reporting of renewable plant operations. Individuals provide renewable plant operational assessments for the entire fleet including applying advanced scientific methodologies to production data. This position applies analytical solutions and effectively articulates results to other business units and to executive management through risk vetting and operational committees.

  • Oversees and develops techniques or process to mitigate production variances or predictions
  • Performs month-end performance reporting and collection of input data from other business units
  • Oversees all aspects of renewable operations deliverables and process including Operational assessments, budget support, GenE, power curve fitting, and renewable energy index
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
