About Our Job

The primary focus of this position is to act as system owner for the court's network, server, system infrastructure and technical services. This position works independently and reports directly to Operational Management.

Job Description:

Solves multiple technical problems

Analyzes server, system, and network problems and implements solutions particular to the court system.

Troubleshoots A/V problems in the courtroom.

Advises customers in remote locations on troubleshooting of both routine and non-routine technical problems.

Designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Windows infrastructure systems, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Domain Controllers, etc.

Maintains O365 environment for the enterprise.

Conducts long term projects/contracts

Develops short- and long-range plans to coordinate and control the development of servers, systems and networks.

Manage multiple projects, prioritize work, and meet established deadlines and commitments.

Implements and maintains video conferencing systems between the various circuit judicial centers and jail locations.

Works with various county IT departments to implement and maintain LAN & WAN connectivity.

Develops and maintains business relationships with vendors and other agencies.

Design and recommend scalable and redundant solutions through requirements gathering and evaluating best practices for all infrastructure services.

Monitors, maintains and reviews information

Tests, benchmarks and analyzes new system software.

Prepares and maintains documentation for applications and systems.

Performs routine systems maintenance such as patching, hardening, and automated deployments for all services.

Monitors and maintains servers, systems, and backups ensuring established system security standards (i.e., CJIS).

Monitors software and hardware technologies and trends.

Facilitate broad technical knowledge of current and emerging technologies used within the Court's infrastructure.

Assigns/Critiques work of IT Professional

Performs triage of help desk calls and assigns work orders to proper individuals for troubleshooting.

Facilitate broad technical knowledge of current and emerging technologies used within the Court's infrastructure.

Reviews results of work orders.

Performs random satisfaction surveys of Court Administration users.

Mentors other Court Administration IT Professional staff.

Prepares complex reports/presentations

Develops budget requests and usage reports for computer equipment.

Consults with and advises Judges, Trial Court Administrator and Chief Information Officer on hardware/software capabilities and costs.

Collaborates with Trial Court Administrator and Chief Information Officer on Court sponsored projects and presentations.

Develops and selects resources

Independently researches and recommends server, system, and network solutions; collaborates with Operational Management on selection and implementation of selected solutions.

Work Hours:

Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

About You

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration with 4 – 5 years of related experience – OR – Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with two (2) or more years of related experience. Experience may substitute for formal education at discretion of management.

Subject to Passing Substance Screening:
This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.

About Everything Else

Pay: $63,128.00 - $85,176.00
