This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in Tallahassee, FL in the Office of Information Technology.
The mission of the Office of Technology in the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is to provide innovative, reliable, and secure technology solutions that support the Department's operations and strategic goals.
This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.
JOB DUTIES- Assist the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Manager with workflow management tasks relating to OIT administrative programs such as procurement, contract management, procedure manual revisions, information technology audits, and legislative impact analysis.
- Assist the OIT Manager in ensuring that OIT services are delivered with a high degree of customer service and satisfaction.
- Serve as consultant to higher level supervisory and/or administrative personnel in the coordination of purchases, legislative bill analyses, procedure manual review, contract management, vendor management, and invoice approvals.
- Coordinate with the FDC Legislative Affairs division both directly and indirectly regarding legislation that may impact information technology systems or required new governance projects.
- Oversee and/or assist in the creation and submission of statutorily required reports from OIT to the legislature.
- Oversee management and compliance with all OIT contracts, data sharing agreements, memorandums of understanding, memorandum of agreements, and contract addendums.
- Coordinate with the FDC Bureau of Contracts and Monitoring as it relates to the contracts OIT monitors and manages.
- Manage, or otherwise improve processes related to contract management.
- Monitor the traceability of purchases by maintaining documentation on deliverables expectations and acceptance.
- Participate in regular meetings with management, technical and/or program personnel in reviewing the progress of projects to provide updates on the status of projects and associated contracts.
- Coordinate or participate in the development and implementation of department procedures as a result of information system/project implementation.
- Oversee FDC procedure manual reviews and author OIT procedure manuals including new procedure manual development or edits to existing procedure manuals.
- Assist with the development of new or edits existing procurement documentation including collaboration with the OIT Procurement and Contract Manager on scope for new projects, including requests for quotes and competitive solicitations.
- Coordinate with FDC Bureau of Procurement regarding solicitation development and pre/post procurement activities.
- Adhere to FDC policies and procedures in the workplace and perform required training.

- Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Must possess experience with Microsoft Office.
- Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM).
- Experience with Smart Sheet.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
