Our client is a leading energy company and one of the largest producers of renewable energy in North America. With a strong commitment to clean energy solutions and sustainable infrastructure, they are seeking a detail‑oriented Sourcing Specialist to support IT procurement activities.

Job Responsibilities:

In this role, you will execute procurement and sourcing activities related to IT goods, services, and software.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing end‑to‑end procurement processes using enterprise procurement platforms.
• Executing sourcing activities, preparing agreements, and managing purchase orders.
• Supporting category management initiatives to drive efficiency and cost savings.
• Ensuring procurement activities align with company policies and budget requirements.
• Conducting supplier evaluations and negotiations to optimize value.
• Collaborating with stakeholders across IT, Legal, Finance, and business units.
• Performing spend and market analysis to support strategic sourcing.
• Maintaining accurate procurement documentation and supporting audit compliance.

Essential Duties and

Job Functions:

• Execute sourcing processes for assigned categories, including bid analysis and supplier recommendations.
• Manage IT procurement using SAP/SRM and GEP Source‑to‑Pay platforms.
• Draft, review, and manage vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Lead vendor onboarding activities and maintain supplier relationships.
• Support procurement strategies using category management best practices.
• Conduct spend and market analytics to identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to meet business needs and procurement timelines.
• Ensure ethical business practices and adherence to corporate procurement guidelines.

Knowledge &

Skills:

• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with enterprise procurement platforms (SAP/SRM, GEP).
• Understanding of category management and strategic sourcing principles.
• Familiarity with contract management and procurement best practices.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret procurement data.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple sourcing projects.
• Knowledge of procurement policies and compliance standards.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or related field.
• 1-3 years of procurement or sourcing experience (IT procurement preferred).
• Experience with SAP/SRM or GEP Source‑to‑Pay platforms highly desirable.
• Strong negotiation experience preferred.
