TheOpportunity
The Data Engineer is responsible for identifying and evaluating business information requirements, this role involves preparing system specifications. The individual will engage in analysis, development, and assessment of data mining within the Snowflake cloud data warehouse setting. This includes overseeing data architecture, design, and administration using tools such as Informatica Power Center, Intelligent Data Quality, and Enterprise Data Catalog. Additionally, the role entails using data analysis and mining tools like Power BI and Tableau to scrutinize and ensure the accuracy of data within the data warehouse.
The person will collaborate with the user community to gather reporting needs and offer technical advice on the use of various data repositories, addressing conflicts and guiding proper data use. Duties also encompass designing prototypes, developing solutions, crafting test scripts, and executing tests to facilitate data integration in Snowflake, covering data replication, extraction, loading, cleansing, and transformation processes. The role is responsible for enterprise-level data modeling and staying updated on software tools, languages, scripts, and shells conducive to the Snowflake cloud data warehouse ecosystem.

Compensation and Term
This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $135,200 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.
Qualifications you need
A successful candidate has the following experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field
- A minimum of 6 years of IT work experience utilizing data management tools, business intelligence tools, and data warehousing.
- Strong Data Integration and Data Warehousing experience with Snowflake Data Cloud and Informatica IICS Cloud Data Integration tools.
- Strong Experience with Data Integration tasks like extraction, transformation, and load (ETL or ELT) tasks.
- Experience designing data models for Business Intelligence tools like Power BI and Tableau.
- Experience with Informatica on-premises products like Power Center and Data Quality.
- Experience with ELT with Change Data Capture solutions like Power Exchange.
- Experience with IBM Mainframes COBOL, JCL, and DB2 analysis.
- Experience with IICS Cloud Administration and Snowflake Data Cloud Administration.
- Ensures data warehouse metadata is collected and maintained.
- Experience with Informatica IICS Cloud Performance Tuning.
- Experience with Snowflake Data Cloud Performance Tuning.
- Experience with Data Governance products, like EDC, Axon, and CDGC.
