We are searching for a Senior Insights & Analytics Strategist, Public Opinion and Polling Insights for an 11‑month contract assignment (W‑2). The Research, Insights and Analytics team requires a professional with experience in insights and reputation management, consulting on polling requests, establishing polling methodologies, writing and vetting questionnaires, performing data analysis, presenting results to large groups, and working cross‑functionally to implement insights into action.
The role demands a high degree of initiative and independence, anticipation of client needs, relationship building, solution development, and successful implementation.
- Collaborates with business partners to develop an insights roadmap aligning with key priorities.
- Creates and standardizes approaches for identifying and quantifying public opinion trends nationwide.
- Recommends and manages custom research methodologies such as focus groups, in‑depth interviews, surveys, text analytics, polling and customer sentiment analysis.
- Produces and presents dashboards, presentations and recurring reports that advise and inspire internal partners to action.
- Assists in the creation of audience personas and helps build digital targeting audiences based on research results.
- Crafts strong stories that integrate multiple data sources—including behavioral data, qualitative and quantitative studies, and syndicated research—to shape comprehensive consumer and market narratives.
- Uses a broad research toolset, including complex methodologies and the ability to execute DIY research projects.
- Shares recommendations with business partners.
- Manages multiple vendor relationships effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Proven knowledge and experience managing the full market research cycle.
- Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Experience with reputational tracking agencies (e.g., Harris Poll, Public Onion Strategies, IPSOS Corporate Reputation Management).
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and link insights to brand growth opportunities.
- Experience with customer insights and analytics tools (survey programming software, secondary research databases, etc.).
- Ability to communicate analyses, findings, conclusions and recommendations to marketing and operating stakeholders.
- Strong interest in politics and public policy.
- Experience with dashboard visualization reporting tools.
- Excellent organizational and project management leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Self‑motivated and enthusiastic team member open to feedback and collaboration.
- Expert presenter who uses data to tell a story.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced user of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary: $40,000/hr to $45,000/hr (estimated based on experience, qualifications and skills).
