Systems Architect; Red Hat Enterprise Linux v7x V8x, IBM Infosphere upgrades​/Installations

• The Systems Architect will be responsible for overall management of all IT application related projects to include:
• Install/Upgrade IBM Infosphere Information Server 11.5 to 11.7
• Configure IBM Infosphere Information Server
• Coordinating efforts with appropriate DOE team/IBM support as needed
• Document the installation of Red Hat and IBM Infosphere
• Responsible for providing evidence of server upgrades to DOE team
• Creates and executes unit test plans and test cases. Assists the client with acceptance testing prior to Production implementation.
• Interacting with DOE team to ensure system functionality and addressing issues post upgrade.

Key Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

• 5+ years of IT work experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux v7x V8x.
• 3+ years of IT work experience with IBM Infosphere upgrades/Installations.
• Experience documenting technical and business requirement specifications.
• Understands complex Web-based computer applications and has the ability to guide programming staff through projects.
• Ability to document business and technical requirements and processes that can be understood and used by other technical staff.
• Strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assignments.
• Adaptability and Flexibility:
  Ability to self‑learn/learn tools of trade and adapt to different environments with little or no guidance.
• Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Must demonstrate ability to successfully translate business language into technical specifications and present them to non‑technical staff using terminology they can understand and relate to.
• Office Tools:
  Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word, working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint. Excellent at time management, estimating level of effort, and meeting or exceeding deadlines.
• Team Player Willing and able to mentor other technical staff and share knowledge.
