Our Human Resources Generalist position is a full‑time role located in Blountstown, Florida. Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist performs work of moderate difficulty in payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations. The role includes administering employee health and welfare plans and acting as a liaison between employees and insurance providers. It also provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including supporting payroll processes, coordinating recruiting efforts, onboarding, off‑boarding, record‑keeping, file maintenance, HRIS data entry and reporting, and some low‑level employee relations matters.

Functions
  • Assists management in carrying out various HR programs and procedures for all employees.
  • Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Performs customer service functions by responding to employee requests and questions; escalates to the Chief Operations Officer when necessary.
  • Assists in the recruiting process including screening applicants, conducting initial phone screenings, coordinating interview scheduling, tracking status in HRIS, and sending follow‑up letters.
  • Conducts new‑employee orientations, administers pre‑employment tests, and conducts reference checks.
  • Completes e‑Verify process and handles cases requiring action.
  • Maintains I‑9 forms and administrative records.
  • Submits online investigation requests and assists with background checks.
  • Reconciles benefit invoices against deductions and ensures accurate billing.
  • Assists with payroll processing, time entry verification, and time‑off requests.
  • Processes employment terminations, including documentation, separation letters, benefit management, and property collection.
  • Assists with performance review preparation and maintenance.
  • Merges organization charts and employee directory.
  • Helps plan and coordinate company events.
  • Maintains personnel files for compliance.
  • Prepares mandatory state and federal reports.
  • Ensures compliance with employment laws and recommends best practices.
  • Other HR projects and duties assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO, Title VII.
  • Expertise in HR policies and procedures.
  • Employee relations skills, including investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Recruitment and talent acquisition across full‑cycle recruiting.
  • Performance management assistance.
  • Compensation and benefits administration.
  • Training and development coordination.
  • HRIS and data management proficiency.

Required Education & Experience
  • High school education plus at least two years of HR experience.
  • SHRM‑CP or PHR certification a plus.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills.
  • Intermediate computer and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Knowledge of Credit Union policies, procedures, and Florida employment law.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of HR matters.
