. This on‑call position is located at Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa in Tampa, FL.
Job Overview: Provide a unique experience by offering Segway tours, bike rentals, and Island Hopper rentals while serving guests as an associate of Amelia's Wheels.
Responsibilities- Assist guests with property information, directions, and rentals of bicycles, Island Hoppers, and Segways.
- Book and manage reservations for Segway tours using Xola.
- Book and manage reservations for Island Hopper reservations using Bike Rental Management software.
- Ride a Segway and become a certified instructor to lead property Segway tours within 60 days of hire.
- Be familiar with Omni Amelia Island bike trails and tour routes.
- Communicate effectively with associates and guests.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all hotel amenities, Omni outlets, and company events.
- Attend and participate in Amelia's Wheels meetings and monthly All Together Get Together.
- Assist with routine cleaning of Amelia's Wheels and of equipment (e.g., sweeping, emptying trash, picking up, organizing, inventory) including cleaning Segways, Island Hoppers, and bicycles.
- Ensure all bicycles, Island Hoppers, and Segways are clean, safe, and act immediately on any concerns.
- Maintain basic maintenance and repairs for bikes, Island Hoppers, and Segways.
- Daily maintenance of all Amelia's Wheels bicycles, Island Hoppers, and Segways.
- Be knowledgeable of Omni's culture.
- Cross‑utilize with other recreation department activities as needed (e.g., group functions, events, Nature Center, Pool/Beach, Camp Amelia, Heron’s Cove mini‑golf, Health and Fitness, Tennis operations).
- Work holiday events and special programs as scheduled.
- Maintain standards of guest services and a consistent positive guest experience as documented by J.D. Power and AAA Ratings.
- Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotels culture, rules, and regulations.
- Answer phones using the proper "Moments of Service" scenario.
- Provide guests with cheerful, personable, efficient service.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of uniforms.
- Fully understand and implement "Moments of Service" and "Power of Engagement".
- Interact with every guest using Omni Standards.
- Be knowledgeable about all hotel amenities and property specifics.
- Actively participate in ensuring the safety of all guests.
- Treat everyone, supervisors, staff, and guests with courtesy and respect always.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Able to lift and lift up to 60‑100 pounds occasionally and 30‑50 pounds repeatedly.
- Must be able to stoop, stand, push, pull, and walk or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to hear, smell, have good or corrected vision, and a good sense of balance.
- Associate must be able to verbally communicate clearly and effectively to various sized groups of resort guests.
- Able to multi‑task effectively.
