The House Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the public areas of the resort. Responsibilities may include deep cleaning of assigned areas and delivering service items to guest rooms upon requests from the front desk or other departments.
Rate of Pay: full-time, hourly position at $20.00/hr
Essential Functions- Comply at all times with South Seas standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient resort operations.
- Visit assigned floors to collect trash, dirty linen, and other materials as instructed.
- Assist with cleaning public areas such as hallways, lobby, and other work spaces.
- Complete daily assignment checklists and submit them to supervisor.
- Handle items for lost and found according to resort standards.
- Retrieve clean linens from housekeeping storage facilities and distribute them to each floor.
- Provide high level customer service by anticipating and responding quickly to guest requests.
- Make deliveries to guest rooms for requested items (amenities, rollaway beds, cribs, bedding, linens).
- Turn in keys and assignment sheets to the Housekeeping Office at the end of the shift.
- Practice safe work habits to ensure safety for guests, colleagues, and self.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent - Experience:
Background with working at a hotel/resort or related is preferred - Required:
Valid driver’s license; motor vehicle background check will be completed
- Clear communication of information and ideas
- Ability to evaluate and select among action options quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
- Maintains composure and objectivity under pressure
- Active listening and responsiveness to coworker and guest concerns
- Teamwork is essential; ability to also work independently
- Stand, walk, bend, and stoop for prolonged periods
- Lift up to 40 pounds
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Work in various weather conditions, including high temperatures and humidity
40 hours per week, flexible schedule; weekends and/or holidays required; AM & PM shifts available.
