Position Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the quality of health care in Florida. We are seeking to hire a Government Operations Consultant III who desires to work to enhance the delivery of health care services through the Florida Medicaid Program. This position requires a candidate who is creative, flexible, innovative, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, team-based work environment.
This position is located in the Bureau of Medicaid Data Analytics. Join Data Analytics as we gather, explore, and examine data to provide meaningful and impactful analysis that shapes the future of Florida Medicaid. As the Agency hub for analytics, reporting, and visualization, the Bureau of Medicaid Data Analytics examines critical aspects of Floridians’ health, health care services and costs, and is vital to managed care rate setting, health care economics, and health plan evaluation.
This position is responsible for the following duties:
Responsibilities- Contract Management
- Act as a liaison between the Agency and the actuarial vendor.
- Facilitate meetings and calls; keep track of notes and action items.
- Procure and follow up on items needed by the actuarial vendor from within and outside of MDA.
- Work with other units to ensure all issues impacting rate setting are conveyed to the actuarial vendor.
- Keep track of items owed to and from the vendor.
- Review deliverables for actuarial vendors, other vendors, another agency, or within AHCA for accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure all delivery requirements are met.
- Project Management
- Acts as point of contact for the unit to coordinate and facilitate regular communication on actuarial projects.
- Provides timely feedback/responses to requests from leadership.
- Assists the supervisor with facilitating meetings, coordinating or tracking requests, and developing project materials.
- Provides assistance in responding to internal inquiries and external requests related to rate setting and other actuarial services unit projects and tasks.
- Maintains detailed project logs tracking logs
- Coordinates with unit and Agency staff to ensure that projects stay on schedule and resource needs are met.
- Ensures that project deadlines are met and escalates tasks as needed.
- Rate Setting Activities
- Participates in rate setting as well as analyses, studies, or research projects.
