Acute Care Hospital Setting

• Perform stat and routine clinical laboratory testing within licensed technical disciplines

• Apply independent judgment to ensure accurate and timely test results

• Work in accordance with written procedures and regulatory requirements

• Maintain competency and licensure in Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology

• Perform non-technical duties such as specimen collection, processing, and referral testing

• Support departmental goals related to quality, compliance, service, and patient satisfaction

• Comfortable working independently and covering all areas of the laboratory during assigned shifts

• National certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP preferred)

• Florida State Licensure as a Medical Technologist required

  • Licensure in all lab areas preferred; minimum of 3 areas required

• Associate s degree in Medical Technology required

  • Bachelor s degree preferred

• 3+ years of hospital laboratory experience preferred

• Blood Bank experience preferred

• Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and teamwork skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
