Job Description
Phlebotomist I – Tallahassee, FL, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with rotational Saturday, 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Pay range: $19.85+ per hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Eligible candidates may receive an annual performance bonus.

- Collect specimens according to established procedures (e.g., drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
- Administer oral solutions per training.
- Research test/client information and confirm all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
- Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
- Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information; collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
- Process specimens—including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport—as required by the test order.
- Perform all non‑patient‑facing duties (inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, utilizing email).
- Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
- Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.
- Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs (maintenance logs and temperature logs) in a timely manner.
- Complete online and in‑person training courses timely.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic).
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
- One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- Effective communication skills in English.
