Description:

Small community healthcare system licensed for 100 beds.

Usual occupancy is around 88 beds.

Staff growing and expanding.

Non-trauma facility with an emphasis on medical and surgical care.

Candidates must have prior experience with medical-surgical nursing.

Achieve optimal nurse-to-patient ratios, usually 1 to 6, with a maximum of 1 to 7.

Charge nurse present during day shifts.

Staffing includes nurse aides and patient care technicians.

Weekend requirements include working every other weekend.

Holiday rotation includes agency and permanent staff.

Preferred scrub color is navy, but black or gray is acceptable.

Telemonitoring is available remotely.

Pharmacy support is provided; however, it is not 24/7.

Respiratory therapy staff manage equipment and procedures.

Floating to different units is required.

Floor-specific orientation and training provided.

Cancellation policy permits cancellation of 2 shifts per contract.

Charting system utilized within the facility is user-friendly.

Experience level to be considered includes demonstrated abilities in specialties.

The position involves patient assessments, medication administration, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Inquiries regarding staff scheduling and flexibility in covering shifts are part of the role.
