northeast florida state hospital (nefsh) is a 613-bed, licensed mental health treatment facility located in macclenny, established in 1959 as the largest state operated civil treatment facility.

this is a highly responsible and professional position serving as the senior behavioral analyst within the psychology unit. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player who works across sections within the program office. specificduties and responsibilities
- provide psychological assessment and treatment services to an inpatient adult population at nefsh as a florida licensed psychologist. Assessments include routine hospital forms, violence risk assessments, suicide risk assessments, forensic evaluations, and psychological testing (e.g., memory, personality, iq). Treatment services include individual and group psychotherapy. Assist the director with administrative responsibilities, research, and special projects. Serve as the director of intern training.
- develop and coordinate the psychology internship program. Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, appic requirements, and apa guidelines. Organize appic and apa initiatives, including applications and self-studies, to support a comprehensive, outcome-oriented management system. Provide training to interns, coordinate requirements with clinical instructors, chair internship meetings, and organize intern rotation and seminar schedules.
- facilitate assigned evidence-based specialty treatment groups, provide group coverage for additional groups, and complete related documentation.
- may act in the absence of the supervisor and assist the director with various assignments and special projects.
- conduct clinical interviews, chart reviews, behavioral observations, staff consultation, and related documentation for initial and annual psychological evaluations. May administer and interpret psychological instruments.
- conduct clinical interviews and administer assessment tools for routine suicide risk assessments and violence risk assessments. Serve on the suicide risk assessment team for complex evaluations.
- attend recovery team meetings on assigned living areas, participate in treatment plan formulation, and complete related documentation.
- attend hospital meetings and trainings including apa-accredited internship program meetings.
- provide individual mental health treatment to residents, including psychotherapy and behavior plans.
- perform other duties as assigned.
