Personal Support

Powell Supportive Services, Inc. is a licensed private home care agency licensed by the State of Florida. We service the DD Waiver, ADA Waiver, Cystic Fibrosis Waiver, TBI Waiver and PAC Waiver. The office is open five days a week and we provide on call service 24/7. Our staff includes experienced Personal Care Aides, Home Health Aides, Massage Therapists, Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses.

We assist the elderly and adults with various disabilities to remain in their homes and Assisted Living Facilities.

Duties Include:

• Experience working with Developmentally Disabled Individuals.
• Meal preparation, planning, and serving
• Taking clients to appointments, errands, and shopping
• Routine housekeeping, vacuuming, laundry, cleaning
• Be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, and walk for long periods of time. Also be able to use proper body mechanics while assisting with transfers and lift at least 50lbs.
• Assisting in personal care needs like bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Demonstrate trust, teamwork, integrity and respect
• Have excellent interpersonal skills, be flexible, professional and responsible
• Be motivated to meet our client's needs, and contribute to our company's mission

Requirements:

• Must be able flexible with work schedule
• Must have reliable transportation
• Med Tech Certificate/65G-7
• Zero Tolerance and Core Competencies Training
• Valid CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogen Certifications
• HIV/AIDS Training
• AHCA Background Screening Level 2
• TB Test Screening
• Valid Florida Driver's License
• Proof of Vehicle Insurance
• Current Vehicle Registration
• Social Security Card
• High School Diploma or GED

• Sympathetic attitude toward care of disabled or sick
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and carry out directions
• Evidence of maturity and ability to deal effectively with job demands
• Good verbal and written communications skills

Shall have a criminal history check conducted prior to being offered any position within this agency.
