Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of home health experience for skilled visits in adult patient care.
Responsibilities- Work in a home health setting serving adult patients in Sarasota and Charlotte County
- Day shift position, Monday through Friday with hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Caseload includes med/surg, cardiac, orthopedic, post-surgical, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, CVA, falls, neurological, trauma, and post-amputation patients
- Perform skilled home care visits, with a minimum of 6 patient points per day
- Use Bay Care Forms, Bay Care Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet documentation system
- Assigned a laptop, MiFi device for internet access, and portable printer
- Duties include activities of daily living, cardiac rehab, edema massage, feeding techniques, splinting, TENS, ultrasound, orthopedics, prosthetics/orthotics, standardized assessments, joint mobilization, and teaching home exercise programs
- Provide patient and family education, safety, and injury prevention during visits
- Responsible for lifting and transfers as needed
- Complete documentation and billing using designated systems
- Visits and daily schedule are self-managed based on Home Care office needs
- Any solid color scrub allowed
- Active BLS certification required
- State OT license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of home health experience required, with 2 years preferred
- Must be able to function as an independent practitioner
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required
- Completion of COVID-19 vaccination or verified exemption
- Flu vaccination required or declination with mandatory mask usage at work
