Job Summary
Performs designated routine patient mobilization tasks. Duties are supportive and performed only with on‑site supervision of delegating nurse or therapist. The position does not interpret referrals, perform evaluation procedures, initiate or adjust treatment programs, assume responsibility for planning patient care, or discuss medical diagnosis with patients. Coordinates daily unit‑specific patient mobilization activities, documents in EMR, and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications- Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist; or National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); must be maintained active during employment.
- PCT or CNA Certification:
Provide certification of successful completion of an SMH‑approved program, and successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation.
HS EQ:
High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
All individuals providing care to vulnerable populations are required to undergo background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
