Job Description
  • Performs collections and assist with duties including but not limited to: questions, escalations etc
  • Must have strong knowledge of commercial insurances and medicare collections.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of three years in position within the Medical Collections department of a medical facility, handling MEDICARE collections for at least two years. Must also have knowledge of various commercial insurances. Not collecting Copays.
  • Computer literacy in a Windows environment, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, as well as proprietary systems expertise.
  • A minimum of one year in position within the Collections department with the following proven and consistent results:
    • Excellent attendance record.
    • Excellent quantative and qualitative results.
  • Existing peer recognition as a “go-to” team member.
  • Demonstrates support and knowledge of all Hoveround policies and procedures.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • an Associates degree or higher in an applicable discipline would differentiate the candidate from others.
  • Prior medical experience a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong motivation and initiative.
  • Computer literacy in a Windows environment, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, as well as proprietary systems expertise.
  • Hours for this Position
    • M-F 8-5 with Overtime if needed (sometimes work a Saturday, however it’s rare…maybe once a month or every other)
