Job SummaryProvide exceptional customer service to patients, family members, physicians and nursing for a variety of meal service necessities by following Food and Nutrition Service Standards. This includes menu and meal explanations, basic diet instructions and modifications, advance notice of meal selections and timely documentation of alternate food preferences. Nutrition Attendants consistently strive to exceed the expectations of customers utilizing the services of Food and Nutrition.
As required, facilitates training of new employees and assists with ongoing education for various department initiatives.
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts as well as weekends, holidays, and other shifts as needed.
- Prefer one (1) year experience high volume, direct customer interaction.
- Prefer ability to communicate effectively with patients, family, hospital staff, fellow workers and department management team.
- Prefer ability to read and understand written instructions and use a tablet (iPad).
- HS EQ:
High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
