Position: Activities Assistant PartTime New Hire Incentive
Location: Sarasota

Aravilla Memory Care Activity Assistant Part‑Time (3‑days per week)

$500 Sign‑on Bonus after 90‑Days!

Reports To: Activities Director

Position Summary:

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Activities Assistants to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning, organizing, and facilitating engaging activities and events tailored to their interests and needs. The Activities Assistant will work closely with the Activities Director to ensure a vibrant and active environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing daily, weekly, and special event activities for residents.
  • Support the Activities Director in developing programs that promote physical, mental, and emotional well‑being.
  • Facilitate group activities, games, and recreational programs, ensuring inclusivity and participation from all residents.
  • Provide one‑on‑one engagement with residents to encourage social interaction and participation in activities.
  • Prepare activity materials and set up spaces for various events, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Monitor and document participants’ attendance, feedback, and preferences to tailor future programs.
  • Collaborate with other departments and staff to ensure coordination of activities and events.
  • Assist with transporting residents to and from activities, as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe activity area, ensuring equipment and materials are in good condition.
  • Uphold and promote the organization’s values, ensuring a positive and respectful atmosphere.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant post‑secondary education or certification in recreation, social work, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in senior living/healthcare a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and resident demeanor.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Creative thinking and a passion for engaging with senior residents.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and planning purposes.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
