Futures Recovery Healthcare is a state-licensed, Joint Commission accredited behavioral healthcare provider located in Tequesta, Florida of Palm Beach County. Position Duties
  • Will hold a caseload of 5-10 families
  • Pending census and needs of program, may take a primary caseload
  • Facilitate family sessions, individual sessions and group therapy in accordance with license requirements, AHCA, TJC standards and Futures Recovery Healthcare policies
  • Performs comprehensive assessment and treatment planning:
  • Elicits comprehensive information from the client and collateral sources
  • Analyzes and interprets the information to develop an accurate diagnostic impression
  • Translates and prioritizes information from the assessment into treatment goals and measurable objectives
  • Includes the client in the treatment planning process and recognizes the client’s strengths and limitations
  • Establishes appropriate criteria to evaluate progress, and revises the plan as the client’s needs change
  • Communicates rights and expectations for behavior to clients in a consistent and respectful manner
  • Provide didactic/educational lectures
  • Respond to off hour issues/concerns in a timely and effective manner
  • Effectively communicates relevant clinical information to the patient, family and Clinical staff
  • Capability to fulfill "on-call" assignment as identified by needs of the business
  • Adheres to Futures Recovery Healthcare policies and procedures
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with Title 42 CFR, Part 2 and HIPAA and Futures Recovery Healthcare Policies
Requirements And Characteristics
  • Master degree from an accredited school in behavioral sciences, counseling, or related human services.
  • Licensed Professional- LMHC, LMFT or LCSW, and/or Certified Addiction Professional (CAP), REQUIRED
  • PsyD or Licensed Psychologist, Preferred
  • A comprehensive understanding of the emotional and behavioral effects of addiction
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of family systems
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the effects of addiction on the user and significant others; knowledge of the stages of drug use.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the medical and psychiatric disorders commonly associated with addiction; knowledge of current research related to addiction and dual diagnosis.
  • Recognizes the behavior and attitudes of different stages of recovery.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the most commonly accepted models of recovery and relapse prevention, including pharmacotherapy, 12-step programs and the multidisciplinary approach.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of basic diagnostic criteria for substance use, suicide risk, withdrawal symptoms and major psychiatric disorders.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of addiction and dual diagnosis as it affects persons from diverse backgrounds; is sensitive to different cultural, ethnic, racial, socio-economic, religious and gender values as they may affect recovery.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity in working with physically and mentally disabled within the larger treatment population.
  • Exceptional one on one communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail as well as strong organization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use clinical software and other software program
