Physical Therapist PRN – HCA Florida Capital Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Leon and Gadsden Counties.
This role offers a flexible, per‑diem schedule for a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide patient‑centered care across a variety of therapeutic settings.
Job Summary & QualificationsThe Physical Therapist (PT) will manage the complete therapeutic care of assigned patients in coordination with physicians and the care team. Responsibilities include patient assessments, developing individualized care plans, delivering therapies, and training patients and caregivers. This position requires a state‑licensed PT with a Bachelor’s degree and basic cardiac life support certification.
Responsibilities- Provide evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice established by law and professional code of ethics.
- Assess and evaluate patients’ therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status and participate in the development of the total plan of care.
- Deliver therapeutic care using procedures and techniques to produce a change in condition/function consistent with the physician’s plan of care.
- Instruct patients, families, or caregivers on therapies, exercises, therapeutic appliances, and/or prosthetic devices to be used outside of therapy sessions.
- Prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs, and coordinate assignments and handoffs.
- State Licensed Physical Therapist.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
