The incumbent conducts advanced level work under limited supervision and serves as the Communication Coordinator responsible for coordinating the Division’s communication activities, publications, and special projects that describe and promote the organization’s mission, vision, and services.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the DOE communications office to develop and implement a public relations strategy that promotes the Division’s priorities and initiatives.
- Grow the agency’s online presence and brand visibility through approved postings.
- Coordinate Division communications, including development of press materials such as fact sheets, promotional videos, media advisories, talking points and monthly newsletters.
- Manage and execute functions to support monthly, quarterly, and annual publications and projects.
- Manage the Division’s social media and other online communications platforms.
- Coordinate with DOE on responses to media inquiries and on public records requests.
- Create materials to support communications strategies, including drafting reports and presentations to stakeholders and provider groups.
- Ensure documents are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Serve as primary DEL contact for tracking the DEL and DOE document review process.
- Manage and update the organization’s website.
- Coordinate statewide early learning meetings and work groups.
- Develop action plans and activities to promote the organization’s culture, including strategic planning.
- Plan and coordinate special events, conferences, and trainings.
