this position is in the director's office of the division of blind services in tallahassee, florida. This position will report to and provide support to both the program administrator and the deputy director. The incumbent in this position will support the development, evaluation, and maintenance of policies and procedures that align with federal and state regulations and guidelines. The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring the division's compliance with evolving legal requirements, while advancing its mission to provide services that empower individuals who are blind or visually impaired.

The incumbent will perform research, assist with the legislative and rule making processes, and will interpret and effectively communicate complex information, ideas, and concepts. The incumbent will assist several bureaus with reviewing and editing programmatic and fiscal policies and procedures, and update senior leadership on policy development/improvement.
