Requirement:

  • Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Preference s:
  • Six (6) months of experience working in workers’ compensation insurance claims business in any capacity.
  • Proficient in entering and analyzing data within a claims system or other database.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

The annual salary for this position is $45,000.00 - $47,600.00 based upon experience.

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

Responses to qualifying questions must be clearly supported by the state application and any omission, falsification, or misrepresentation in the answering of the qualifying questions will be cause for immediate elimination from the selection process.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to understand and apply the applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures regarding mandatory reporting to the Division of Workers’ Compensation.
  • Ability to examine and evaluate data relating to the Workers’ Compensation program.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to conduct fact finding investigations.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

This position is part of the Compliance Unit, in the Bureau of State Employee’s Workers’ Compensation Claims. The person in this position will be responsible for reviewing reports for the purpose of troubleshooting and resubmitting rejected EDI filings to the Division of Workers’ Compensation and also performing other functions related to EDI and/or quality assurance as it relates to the workers’ compensation claims administration.
