- New employees of the Department of Military Affairs will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Minimum Requirements- A High School Diploma or equivalent; AND
- One (1) year of full-time-equivalent experience in maintenance and repair of locks and door hardware or related work.
- Requires climbing ladders, lifting, balancing, walking, and stooping.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs.
- Coordinates and participates in repairing locks using hand tools and other equipment.
- Coordinates the ordering, purchasing and installation of locking mechanisms and door hardware.
- Cuts duplicate keys and maintain a log of keys issued or returned.
- Knowledge of the procedures and methods for cutting keys
- Knowledge of the procedures and methods of installing, disassembling, and repairing locks
- Skills in installing, disassembling, and repairing locks
- Skills in operating a key-cutting machine
- Skills in using a lock pick to open locks
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to re-key existing locks
