Position Summary

This is a highly responsible position within the Operations section of the Agency for Persons with Disabilities State Office. The role includes but is not limited to Crisis Waiver Enrollment (CWE) quality assurance reviews, cost plan reviews, and enrollment activities for the Agency according to policies and procedures.

Work You Will Do
  • Assist with the approval, development, and revision of rules, policies, and procedures related to application, intake, and eligibility determination activities.
  • Provide technical assistance to Agency staff, providers, and stakeholders related to CWE and enrollment activities to ensure compliance with rules and operating procedures.
  • Develop and update training material as needed.
  • Conduct random quality assurance desk reviews of crisis decisions and analyze CWE data reports, providing detailed analysis to each Regional Operations Manager to identify trends.
  • Ensure compliance with established rules and operating procedures and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with the provision of training and technical assistance to all Regions related to Crisis Waiver Enrollments (CWE).
  • Assist with developing and processing ad‑hoc reports for the Program Administrator for work related to application, intake, and eligibility determination projects.
  • Conduct cost plan reviews to ensure compliance with State and Federal rules and procedures.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other state agencies on special and other assignments.
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties related to programs and services for agency clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Evaluation design, outcome measurement, data collection, data analysis, and written data reporting skills required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of:

  • DD/HCBS Medicaid Waiver and Florida's Developmental Disabilities system, with particular knowledge of the philosophy and values associated with a person‑centered system.
  • Rules, policies, procedures, and laws related to the DD/HCBS iBudget Waiver program.
  • Issues and responsibilities of waiver support coordination.

Ability to:

  • Develop rules, policies, and procedures related to Florida's waiver program.
  • Understand, apply, and interpret applicable statutes, rules, regulations, and policies related to the waiver program.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, Regional Office staff, consumers, family members, and other stakeholders.
  • Work independently.
  • Learn and communicate complex information.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.

Demonstrate skills in:

  • Microsoft Word and Excel.
