Job Description

This position must be capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting relating to the various subject matter areas within the Office of Safe Schools (OSS). This is a highly responsible and professional position that will serve as an assistant to Contract Managers for the Office of Safe Schools. This position is responsible for performing technical, consultative, and administrative work.

This position will collaborate with each section within the office and be required to use independent judgement, take initiative in carrying out duties and responsibilities and should be extraordinarily detail oriented.

The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) has an open position that is responsible for executing the following functions:

  • Conduct grant and contract monitoring and reviews for program compliance.
  • Review grants/contracts and recommend for approval change requests and invoices submitted.
  • Provide technical assistance to grant applicants on program requirements.
  • Monitor budget, expenditure, and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of grant and contract management, including budget, expenditure, report and correspondence requirements.
