Commercial Loan Closing Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Loan Closing Specialist to oversee the closing, acquisition, and onboarding of commercial loan portfolios. This role plays a critical part in ensuring loan documentation accuracy, regulatory compliance, and seamless servicing transitions.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in commercial lending operations, loan documentation, and multi-party transaction coordination, while serving as a key liaison between borrowers, sellers, and internal teams.

Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000

Key Responsibilities Loan Closings & Portfolio Transfers
  • Manage the full lifecycle of commercial and construction loan closings, including portfolio acquisitions and loan transfers.

  • Coordinate closing timelines, documentation requirements, and funding logistics to ensure efficient and accurate transactions.

  • Support the transition of loans into servicing platforms while maintaining complete documentation.

Documentation & Compliance
  • Prepare, review, and maintain loan documents, assignments, and collateral records.

  • Research and coordinate state and county recording requirements, submit filings, and track confirmations.

  • Assist with due diligence for loan acquisitions, identifying documentation gaps and resolving deficiencies.

Loan Boarding & Servicing Support
  • Ensure accurate and timely onboarding of loans into servicing systems.

  • Track ongoing compliance requirements including insurance, property taxes, UCC filings, and loan covenants.

  • Maintain complete, audit-ready loan and servicing files.

Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for borrowers, sellers, title partners, and internal teams throughout the closing and onboarding process.

  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.

  • Provide ongoing support to loan administration and servicing teams as needed.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial loan closings, servicing, lending operations, or title/escrow

  • Strong knowledge of commercial loan documentation and collateral perfection

  • Experience coordinating complex, multi-party transactions

  • Proven ability to review and prepare legal and financial documents with a high degree of accuracy

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Experience with loan servicing systems preferred (Nortridge experience a plus)

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently

  • Professional communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
