Salary Range: $15.00 To $20.00 Hourly
General Description:This part-time position will support our actuarial analysts in all current and future states in all product lines of insurance by assisting with rate reviews, preparation of rate filings, and assisting in responding to inquiries from regulatory departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Assists in the preparation of filing exhibits for current and future states and lines of business.
- Prepares rules and rate manuals.
- Performs competitor analysis for rating plans, rates, products and forms.
- Assists in recurring data related projects as needed
- Completes and Submits data calls
- Provides data in support of actuarial, product, underwriting, and reserving initiatives.
- Ensures that data is correct, consistent, and robust. Perform proper data validation and reconciliation exercises.
- Become proficient in performing data manipulation, analysis, and automation, including but not limited to data cleansing and automated reporting.
- Use appropriate spreadsheet and data stewardship:
Organize and document data, data sources, and calculations in such a way that it can be easily reviewed by a peer or external party. - Assists as needed with relevant regulatory authorities on filings
- Perform other duties as required.

Education and Experience:- 0-1 year of experience; prior internship a plus
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, risk management or a related field.
- Part-time 20-30 hours per week flexible schedule hourly.
- Quantitative and analytical skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Work extremely well independently.
Certifications:
Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams with on-going exam commitment is desired but not required
