Position Specific Description

The Property Accounting team at Financial Center of Excellence is looking for Accountant I to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and take ownership of various projects by adding value through critical thinking and interpersonal skills.

Ideal Candidate

• Ability to understand GAAP and FERC as well as strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
• Work closely with NEET Development, Engineering & Construction, Operations, Business Management and Business services teams to ensure proper accounting treatment and compliance with policies
• Review master data accuracy for recording new assets such as WBS structure, company codes, asset estimates in line with federal and local regulation and company’s capital policies
• Ability to quickly establish priorities and meet all assigned deadlines related to the FCOE accounting close and everyday tasks
• Prepare and present timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reports
• Improve, develop, and implement new processes to manage the rapidly growing business

• Keeps abreast of and applies GAAP, SEC regulations, and relative company policies, practices and procedures
