Job SummaryThe Treasury Services Associate assists with the processing and recording of all financial operations transactions. These processes include cash receipts, premium disbursements, commission processing, and various other treasury functions. In addition, this position will assist the corporate accounting team with reconciliations and special projects as assigned.
Responsibilities- Process cash receipts and investigate exceptions
- Transmit Control Pay and Positive Pay files to the bank and investigate exceptions as they arise
- Print claims, refund, and commission checks
- Process stop and void transactions working closely with the underwriting and claims department
- Manage the vendor additions to the claim system ensuring proper documentation and approval
- Assist the corporate accounting team with various reconciliations and the monthly close process
- Provide input and suggestions to ensure as the Company grows, we are always refining and improving each process
- Assist with other tasks and special projects as assigned, such as 1099 processing
- Ability to use computer and accounting systems to perform daily job duties
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability and knowledge to process cash receipts to ensure timely and accurate deposits and accounts receivable posting
- Ability and knowledge to investigate discrepancies and unmatched cash receipts to determine appropriate course of action
- Ability and knowledge to review and process premium disbursements
- Associates Degree preferred, but not required
- Experience in a financial operations setting preferred
- Proactive forward thinker with the ability to prioritize and contribute ideas to the team
- Critical thinking skills
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
