Senior Industrial Controller (H/F) - SAFRAN POWER USA, LLC – AEROCONTACT
Join to apply for this role s position will support the Head of Controlling with all Industrial Finance matters relating to manufacturing accounting, cost performance analysis, and inventory across three sites (Sarasota, Twinsburg and Chihuahua).
Mission DescriptionAs part of a cohesive Finance Team, this role will be accountable for the calculation and analysis of site manufacturing rates, standard cost computation, and all financial KPIs relating to manufacturing performance, including the achievement of improvement action plans.
Responsibilities- Provide analysis and financial advice for Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO), including sales & margin analysis, arrears & order book review, profitability & gross margin analysis, and Opex control.
- Define productivity and efficiency KPIs, identify gaps versus the current tracking system, establish improvement action plans with the Head of Manufacturing, and contribute to workload vs. capacity analysis. Present monthly manufacturing budgetary control with corrective actions to Head of Industry and Finance.
- Review, challenge, and account for MRO warranty costs, subcontracting, exchange pools, productivity and efficiency, time tracking, and labor and burden postings. Work with the MRO team and Financial Accounting on monthly MRO Opex & Capex costs, reclasses, allocations, and journal postings; undertake review of average costing within MRO, including BOM and routings, purchase costs, repair costs, and valuation types.
- Challenge the MRO CSR team on billing issues, payment terms, collections, credit notes, and quote accuracy.
- Prepare monthly reporting and analysis of all Industrial KPIs for Original Equipment (OE), including manufacturing & purchasing, under/over recovery, production variances, scrap and rework spend, department spend, and productivity & efficiency KPIs. Support the Annual Mid Term Plan (MTP) focusing on margins and manufacturing performance evolution, and update monthly rolling forecasts where applicable.
- Adhere to safe work practices, contribute to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program, and provide month‑end closing support. Responsibilities include calculation of E&O reserve, scrap accruals, inventory balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with Safran policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Power BI) and experience running and analyzing accounting reports and data.
- Familiarity with SAP preferred.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
- Proactive in identifying cost‑saving opportunities and solutions‑oriented work style.
- Physical demands: position requires sitting and computer work for extended periods in an office setting with moderate noise.
