Chief Lending Officer

The Chief Lending Officer (CLO) provides executive leadership for all lending operations, guiding strategy, credit quality, and portfolio growth across C&I, CRE, and Consumer lending. This role is responsible for building a profitable, well-managed loan portfolio while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with the organization’s long-term strategic goals. The ideal candidate has deep lending expertise, strong credit judgment, and extensive knowledge of the South Florida market.

• Lead all lending functions and drive growth of a strong, diverse, and profitable loan portfolio.
• Develop and execute lending strategies that support organizational goals and respond to market opportunities.
• Oversee credit quality, underwriting, and risk management for new and renewed credit requests.
• Assess financial and economic data to make sound credit decisions and manage risk exposure.
• Build, develop, and mentor lending teams while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Maintain strong client relationships and support business development efforts across South Florida.
• Negotiate loan terms that balance client needs and profitability.
• Monitor portfolio performance and ensure accurate reporting.
• Ensure full compliance with all banking regulations, policies, and audit standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field;
  Master’s preferred.
• 8–10+ years of progressive commercial lending experience with senior leadership responsibility.
• Proven experience managing C&I, CRE, and Consumer portfolios.
• Strong analytical skills and credit decision-making expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to drive lending strategy and achieve portfolio growth.
• Experience with complex loan structures and risk management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong knowledge of South Florida banking markets, including Miami‑Dade and Broward.
