• The 3D BIM/VDC Detailing professional is responsible for developing detailed drawings in accordance with our Duct Standards, ensuring work is implemented within cost, schedule, and accuracy parameters.
• Design Standards – Work in conformity with company Pipe and Duct CAD Standards and detailing practices; participate in improving these standards and practices.
• Software Proficiency – Use software platforms to produce accurate production-level drawings; willing to learn advanced BIM tools and stay up to date on current and future software developments.
• Detailing Proficiency – Establish drawings and document formats required to complete jobs; generate concise RFIs; ensure drawings are constructible; review shop drawings for quality and accuracy prior to field distribution; modify drawings as changes occur; create accurate record drawings from red-lined field markups.
• Interdepartmental communications – Coordinate detailing scope with Project Supervision, assist project staff with drawing requirements and priorities, participate in project coordination efforts.
• Communication Skills – Maintain open lines of communication with the BIM/VDC Manager and Sheet Metal Field Team; participate in department meetings and suggest improvements.

• Undergraduate degree in design/drafting or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum five (5) years work experience in commercial HVAC.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Navisworks, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and related 3D detailing tools; ability to learn additional software as needed.
• Demonstrates honesty, integrity and personal accountability.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and interface professionally with construction professionals.
• Physical ability to lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds; able to perform tasks involving bending, reaching, and lifting in line with OSHA guidelines.
