Responsibilities- Implement and Maintain HMI/SCADA applications.
- Coordinate with Utilities Operation and Technical staff on trouble-call response and system enhancement requests.
- Develop, test, enhance, and maintain SCADA software, hardware, and equipment.
- Gather, review, and format data for reports, data processing, and presentations.
- Review plans, specifications, and reports for accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Assist with project administration, and work with outside contractors and developers.
- Assist the Project Manager with the implementation of associated projects to enhance and fortify the SCADA system and network.
- Write, test, and deploy HMIs, PLC programs MS, and SQL programs.
- Provide general guidance to lesser experienced/trained team members during troubleshooting efforts and assigned tasks.
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. On-Call Required
About YouMinimum Qualifications
- A two (2) year degree in computer science or related field AND two (2) years with SCADA systems, radios, PLCs, Wonderware Galaxy environment.
- -OR- a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration, with some related experience.
- -OR- Experience may substitute for formal education at the discretion of management.
- A Valid Florida Driver's license at the time of hire.
- Experience with using PLC Programming and Allen Bradley Control Logix.
- Experience working with SQL databases and Project Management training.
- Experience troubleshooting and monitoring of electronic/electrical instrumentation equipment and/or IT technologies used in water and wastewater facilities, such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s), Analog/Digital Converters, computers and peripherals, and electronic control mechanisms.
- Experience and understanding of Ethernet and Cellular Networks.
- Certification as Wonderware Developer.
- Ability to read, interpret, and provide technical expertise on engineering schematics, specifications, and related documents.
- Self-motivated, communicate effectively, and have the ability to make good decisions based on research, analysis, subject matter knowledge, experience, and SCADA best practices.
- Two (2) years of related business work experience and use of related software programs.
- Network functionality & troubleshooting.
- Microsoft SharePoint.
- Microsoft Remote Desktop/Terminal Services.
- Microsoft SQL Server.
- Rockwell Power Flex, Software Thin Manager & Thin Client Configuration.
- Wonderware System Platform including Application Server, InTouch Managed HMI Applications, Historian Client, OI Servers, and License Management.
This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.

About Everything ElseStarting Pay Range: $26.72 - $34.50, based on experience.
