Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the
Enterprise GIS Environment
team, of the
Energy Services
, based Houston, Texas or Tallahassee, Florida
office and have the opportunity to perform GIS mapping, analysis, and data management in a fast-paced work environment.
Occasional overtime and weekend hours may be required
.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
Responsibilities- Perform complex vector and tabular analysis including linear referencing
- Prepare reports, charts, and tables based on spatial data analysis.
- Create, edit, and maintain GIS data in a versioned ArcGIS enterprise database environment
- Perform quality checks on data, tables, and mapping using ArcGIS data reviewer and manual processes
- Create web maps, paper map books and other mapping products
- Manage and process imagery and lidar datasets using tools in the ArcGIS desktop environment.
- Create and Manage layers, maps, and applications in ArcGIS enterprise portal and ArcGIS Online environment.
- Provide support for field data collection using ArcGIS Mobile applications
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, computer science, or geography with a minimum of two (2) years of related professional experience OR a GIS certificate from an accredited institution with a minimum of five (5) years of related professional experience. Experience working with oil and gas pipelines or environmental regulatory services is preferred but not required.
- Proficient knowledge of and ability to utilize ESRI ArcGIS Desktop suite including ArcGIS Pro 2.9 or Higher
- Proficient skill in cartography as well as coordinate systems and projections
- Experience working with ArcGIS Mobile applications, including Survey
123, Collector, and Field Maps - Experience working in ArcGIS Online and enterprise portal environment
- Proficient knowledge of computer applications and functions including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with managing and processing remotely sensed data, such as imagery and LiDAR is a plus but not required
- Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with little supervision
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across disciplines
- Ability to understand and work within set quality control standards
- Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously
- Ability to meet deadlines
