Base Pay Range$132,900 – $182,700 per year.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in preliminary assessments, concept development, and design of physical security systems for data centers.
- Lead design efforts, producing schematics, schedules, and plan drawings.
- Perform calculations for video storage, bandwidth usage, and power loads.
- Coordinate cross‑disciplinary teams (architecture, civil, electrical, instrumentation). Identify conflicts or inconsistencies.
- Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments following established methodologies.
- Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend solutions.
- Document project requirements, specifications, and interface with vendors.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline; master’s degree preferred.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
- 12+ years of professional experience in planning, designing, and commissioning physical security systems and/or communication networks. Project management experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of video surveillance, access control, biometric systems, and intrusion detection.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam and design collaboration tools; experience with Revit, ACC, BIM
360, AutoCAD, and/or Micro Station. - Knowledge of CSI design and construction specifications and construction cost estimating.
- Professional security certifications (CISSP, CPP, PSP, etc.) are a plus.
- Experience leading projects and managing resources.
- Mentoring junior staff.
- Design Management experience.
- Design experience in data centers.
