Contractor And Industrial Representative -Major Projects - South East Region

Job Description:

3M is inviting applications for a Major Projects Professional (C&I Major Projects Representative) who will collaborate with global teams and lead engineering initiatives across the South East region (GA, AL, FL, MS). The role is field‑based, requires a company vehicle, and supports 3M’s commitment to innovation and safety.

• The MPR leads project management and specification for assigned regions.
• Coordinates with Sales Force and regional C&I reps to track dollar impact and sales results.
• Provides hands‑on project work and drives construction service utilization for profitable sales.
• Acts as the key liaison with engineering and contractor accounts to influence project outcomes.

• Serve as the project manager for major projects within the South East region.
• Use the Salesforce tool to manage and track project status and financial impact.
• Lead specification and direct project activities at job sites.
• Collaborate with engineering and contractor accounts to foster project success.
• Assist the Regional Sales Manager in regional project management activities.
• Work with the C&I rep to coordinate distribution strategies, advise on pricing, and increase line sales.
• Promote use of the Construction Services team to generate larger, more profitable sales.

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited university.
• Five (5) years of experience in the electrical industry involving contractors, distributors, engineers, and large‑scale projects.
• Five (5) years of technical experience with medium voltage cable accessories.
• Current, valid Driver’s License.
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering (additional qualification).
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously (additional qualification).
• Experience leading highly technical training sessions (additional qualification).

Remote field‑based location across South East Region (GA, AL, FL, MS). Up to 50% domestic travel may be required.

Must drive a company vehicle; motor‑vehicle history review is required for hired candidates.

May be authorized for qualified candidates.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship (e.g., H‑1B status).
