Instructional Position

196 Days per year

Full Time, Benefit Eligible

Responsible for supporting classroom teachers and administration by focusing work directly on improving instruction as the primary avenue to improve student outcomes; and for supporting professional development of skills in critical areas such as a positive classroom climate, implementation of instructional and intervention strategies for all students including English Language Learners and students with disabilities, support of classroom management, analysis of student work, differentiation of instruction, and other areas as required.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the field of Education, or related field
• Four years’ experience teaching
• Two years’ Highly Effective or Effective Value-Added Model (VAM) ratings
• Two years’ experience in a leadership or mentoring role
• OR
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position

• Valid Florida Educator's Certificate in assigned subject area or grade level

• Instructional Trainer Coach (Humanities) must possess knowledge of content and curricular resources specific to English Language Arts and Social Studies.
• Reading Endorsement or Reading Certification at the Secondary Level
• Coaching Literacy Endorsement

Instructional Trainer Coach (Humanities) must possess the Reading Endorsement or Reading Certification at the Elementary Level

** This position may require you to teach an additional period beyond your base contract. Should this occur, you will receive additional compensation at the effective negotiated rate in addition to your base salary for instructing this additional period. This additional amount will be paid as a supplement and will be disbursed in equal payments based on the District’s established payroll calendar for this position.

This amount is considered part of your salary for Florida Retirement System purposes.**
