Prekindergarten Teacher

St. Mark Catholic School in Southwest Ranches, Florida has an opening for a candidate who is qualified to teach Pre-Kindergarten for the 2026-27 school year. Our Pre‑K 3 or 4 teacher creates and implements interactive lesson plans aligned with the state standards; completes Pre‑K assessments; maintains a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized; and is professional, caring, compassionate, and dedicated to the well‑being of our students.

This person will also have direct communication with parents and foster good rapport, which is a necessity to our students’ development. The Pre‑K teacher is expected to be knowledgeable in and ensure compliance with all licensing guidelines, along with those set forth by the Archdiocese of Miami. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or elementary level.
• 2 years’ experience working in a Pre‑K classroom preferred.
• State‑certified 45‑hour child‑care training or Staff Credential with the Department of Children and Families is required.
• Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Experience or familiarity with Creative Curriculum or HMH Splash into Pre‑K, a plus.
• Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in a Roman Catholic environment preferred.
• Must have knowledge of basic tenets of the Catholic Church.
• Excellent presentation skills with skill in the use of instructional technologies.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Excellent oral and written English‑language communication skills, including a clear speaking voice.
• Good spelling and grammar required.
• Proficiency in Apple products and software, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
