Overview

The Theology Teacher position at Archbishop Edward McCarthy Catholic High School is located in Southwest Ranches, FL. The school is seeking a qualified and experienced High School Theology Teacher for the current school year. The teacher will plan, organize, and implement an instructional program for High School Theology in alignment with the mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Salary is commensurate with education and years of experience.

• Required:
  
  Bachelor's Degree in Theology or a related field from an accredited United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) university/college.
• Working towards attaining a Master's Degree in Theology or related field from an accredited United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) university/college.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing who fully adheres to and models the Roman Catholic Church teachings in faith and morals.
• Knowledge and skill in the use of instructional technology, including iPads in the classroom.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar forms is a plus.
• Excellent presentation skills with the use of instructional technologies.
• Excellent classroom management and demonstrated ability to engage students through project-based learning.
• Excellent oral and written English language communication skills, including a clear speaking voice.
• Must have a professional demeanor.

The teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for High School Theology. Responsibilities include teaching a diverse student population and aligning instruction with the mission of the Archdiocese of Miami.
