St. Gregory Catholic School in Plantation (Broward County), Florida has an opening for a Middle School English & Language Arts School Teacher for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. The applicant must be a dynamic and innovative educator with the ability to develop lessons that cultivate critical thinking skills, designing instruction to motivate and engage all learners, and the ability to develop cross-curricular units.

This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for middle school students. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Roman Catholic Church. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.

• BS / BA Degree in Education, Reading, English, or Language Arts education.
• Florida Department of Education teacher certification in Language Arts 5-9; temporary or professional required.
• Experience teaching middle school grades 6-8 preferred.
• Assesses needs and strategies with flexibility to adapt appropriately in a ministerial environment.
• Ability to collaborate in a professional learning community to develop, implement and continuously improve the effectiveness of the curriculum and instruction to result in high levels of student achievement.
• Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel;
  PowerPoint a plus.
• Excellent oral and written English language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Good spelling and grammar are required.
• Fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
