The Orting School District is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Girls' Volleyball Coach (Non-continuing) at Orting Middle School. Orting Middle School, a member of the Plateau League, is committed to providing excellence in all of its extra-curricular programs. The head coach oversees and runs the entire middle school volleyball sports program.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Experience in coaching/participating in volleyball
- Knowledge of volleyball techniques and strategies
- Meet all W.I.A.A. requirements for the Washington State Coaching Standards
- Effective communication with students, parents, staff, and community members
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills necessary to run a solid middle school program
- Successful experience working with teenage athletes
- Motivate teens to reach their highest potential academically through sportsmanship
- Experience preferred
- High school graduate or completion of a GED program
- At least 19 years of age
- Current first aid and CPR training or ability to obtain
- Flexible schedule
- Must be available immediately after school – 2:25 pm

BenefitsEligibility for benefits is determined by the number of hours worked in the last two school years. Coaching positions may not be benefit eligible. Regular employees who are also in coaching position(s) and are anticipated to work 630 hours or more in a year are eligible for the following benefits: medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, long‑term disability and the employee assistance program.
