. Compass Program Coordinator – Region 3 (Marion – DeSoto Counties) is a full-time, grant-funded opening with the Department of Corrections – Region 3 (Marion – DeSoto). The location and facility details are provided to help identify the appropriate location. The role is based at a Department of Corrections institution in the Region and centers on supporting the Compass Program and its participants.
You’ll Do
- Recruitment, onboarding, and retention of the Pre-Release Navigators and Career Development Specialists
- Compile information about the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program participation, services, and performance
- Train the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program facilitators on procedures and processes for administration of the program
- Standardize information sharing reports for use in management of the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program
- Coordinate equipment and supplies requests for the Pre-Release Navigators and Career Development Specialists
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of professional experience in workforce development, corrections, social service, or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry; effective written and oral communication skills
- A valid Florida Driver’s License
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
