Florida State University, Department of Accounting, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning August 2026. Ability to teach in a Healthcare MBA program is required for this position. The expected start date is August 2026.
Responsibilities
This state-funded tenure track position will be responsible for enhancing the MBA program generally and the College’s "Business of Healthcare" initiative more specifically. The ideal candidates will conduct rigorous and relevant research, using any methodology and theoretical lens, for publication in premier academic journals. Additionally, primarily teaching at the graduate level on topics including both healthcare and healthcare providers is expected.
This position could also help create synergies with other colleges (e.g. College of Medicine, College of Nursing) on potential joint programs and apply for grant-funded healthcare research.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a doctorate in accounting or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution or similarly accredited health-related program at the time of appointment. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to research and teaching excellence and should be able to achieve tenure in an accounting department. Applicants with expertise in accounting and healthcare with a PhD in a field such as Economics or Public Policy should consider applying.
