As a 5th Grade Teacher you will develop lesson plans consistent with established guidelines, establish effective rapport with students, staff, and parents, and motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge for an effective educational foundation.
- Plan and implement a program of instruction that adheres to the company's philosophy, goals, and objectives as outlined in the adopted courses of study.
- Create purposeful lesson plans that maximize students’ learning time.
- Present subject matter to students, using real‑world, application‑based examples and learning opportunities.
- Review student records to understand each student’s abilities and needs; maintain accurate, complete records.
- Strive to maximize the educational achievement of each student.
- Utilize a variety of student learning modalities and differentiated instruction within lessons.
- Conduct frequent diagnostic assessments, maintain accurate records, and generate progress reports as required.
- Refer students with suspected learning problems to appropriate support personnel.
- Assign lessons, correct student work, and review oral presentations.
- Coordinate class field trips when required.
- Prepare students for state‑required achievement assessments.
- Keep current in subject‑matter knowledge and learning theory; share knowledge to continually improve the school's curriculum.
- Assist in ongoing curriculum revision, including written courses of study; assist in selecting books, equipment, and instructional materials.
- Become acquainted with supplemental services beneficial to students as an extension of regular classroom activities.
- Create a classroom environment appropriate to students’ maturity and interests.
- Maintain positive rapport with students, demonstrating patience and nurturing to support child growth.
- Ensure the classroom is clean, safe, and displays student‑generated work appropriately.
- Develop reasonable rules for classroom/playground behavior in line with CSUSA policy, maintaining order fairly and consistently.
- Develop lesson plans consistent with established guidelines and goals.
- Plan individual and group activities to meet instructional objectives and student needs.
- Prepare for classes assigned and demonstrate preparation upon request of supervisory personnel.
- Collaborate with other staff members on curriculum planning during scheduled meetings.
- Incorporate diagnostic information from each student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) into planning.
- Taken necessary precautions to protect supplies, equipment, materials, and facilities essential to implement the instructional program.
- Strive to establish cooperative relations and communicate with parents/guardians when appropriate.
- Communicate clearly, consistently, and positively with parents via all appropriate mediums, cooperating with administration and other staff.
