Imperial Lakes Dental Care, located at 2110 Shepherd Road, Mulberry FL 33860, is looking for a Business Assistant to join our team.
Work schedule:
Monday‑Thursday 7:30 am‑5:30 pm (1 hr lunch);
Friday 7:30 am‑4:30 pm. Work is weekday‑only.

Responsibilities- Greet and welcome patients as they enter the office to create a great first impression of our team.
- Manage front‑office duties, including answering phones, checking office mail and email, and communicating with patients and insurance companies.
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and records.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
- File patient insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims, verification of benefits, and explanation of coverage.
- Post insurance and patient payments and process accounts receivable.
- Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.
- Partner with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems that optimize office potential.

Imperial Lakes Dental Care is a member of the Heartland Dental network and aims to serve its community with high‑quality care. The practice maintains a collaborative, communicative, and community‑focused team of 10 staff members.
Minimum Qualifications- Experience working in a fast‑paced and customer‑centric environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must have access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job‑related functions; regular HIPAA training will be required.
- 1+ years of experience in a dental or medical setting.
- 1+ years of experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable.
- Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Availability for virtual training sessions (or in‑person) periodically throughout the year.
- All new hires in dental office positions are required to complete a TB test as part of the pre‑employment process. Not applicable in FL & TN.
